Symbology:

 

The cross on the circle means that the material part reign in the terrestrial inhabitants,  and that they should love or to suffer before rising the spiritually.

 

History:

 

According to the Greek mythology, mother Earth or Gea, was created in the void. Gea was fruitful, giving in birth to the mountains, the sea and the sky. Then, the sky god (Uranus), became husband of Gea, and they engendered the Titans, one of which was Chronos (Saturn). The Titans were a much more primitive race that their descendants. When Uranus becoming a true tyrant against his own children the Cyclopses or Titans, Gea implored the help of Chronos, who with a sickle, cut the genitals of his father Uranus and threw them to the sea, to remove forever any generative power from Uranus.

The Earth is the planet where we inhabit; and for divine grace of God, where we obtain all for our physical life and where we receive the planetary and zodiacal stellar influences for our evolution (material and spiritual), if we can conserve the minimum terrestrial natural conditions for it.
