History:
The existence of Cancer as a zodiacal sign is later than of Aries, Taurus, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn. In remote times it was drawn as a scarab and this was the symbol of the Soul because for that time, humanity was much more Soul than body. Also the constellation was know as "the stars of water"; for the great quantity of small and white stellar heaps that exists in Cancer. A Greek legend recounts that the crab was placed in the firmament as a recompense to having stopped with his pincers a nymph pursued by Zeus.
